The history

A 1908 villa with a remarkable history

Known historically as Villa Los Pinos, this early-20th-century villa is closely connected to Málaga’s industrial and cultural heritage.

In 1914, it became the first headquarters of Hijos de Antonio Barceló, one of Málaga’s prominent wine companies, whose wines were exported internationally. The villa later became associated with José Segalerva, a leading fruit exporter whose name remains attached to the surrounding neighbourhood.

Today, Villa Los Pinos has entered a new chapter. Carefully restored and thoughtfully adapted, the protected historic residence is now home to Palacete 10 — five contemporary furnished residences that combine the character of Málaga’s past with the way international professionals live today.

The restoration

Palacete 10 · Reimagined for modern living

A historic Málaga villa, comprehensively renovated while preserving its original architectural character. The façade and the monumental staircase remain; everything that makes a building work does not. The result reads as historic and performs as current.

  • Preserved 1908 façade and monumental staircase
  • Fully renewed floors, insulation and hot-water systems
  • New electrical and water installations throughout
  • High-speed fibre throughout the building
